Booking and payment terms for those who reserve accommodation or uses any other services at Kerlingarfjöll Highland Resort (referred to as KHR)
During the booking process on this website you will be asked to provide valid credit card details and the full amount of the booking including Lodging and Value Added Tax will be charged to your credit card.
In the event of cancellation or no-show KHR reserve the right to charge you for one night of your booking. Standard cancellation is 5 days prior to arrival, cancellation with less notice will not be accepted and charged as no show. We require 30% deposit for larger groups, which is not refundable but all payment exceeding 30% are refundable if cancelled 5 days prior to arrival. Cancellations shall preferably be sent via email at email@example.com. You may also call the reception at +354 571 1200.
All prices are specified per room per night or per person per night in sleeping bag accommodation. All prices are inclusive of the Lodging tax charged on accommodation in Iceland, as well as value added tax.
Breakfast is only included in made up bed accommodation prices, not in sleeping bag accommodation. The restaurant serves respectively breakfast, lunch, coffee and dinner and is open throughout the day.
Check in time is generally 16:00 PM. Check out time is 10:00 AM. In the event of late check out Kerlingarfjöll reserve the right to charge a fee of 50 EUR per room or 15 EUR per sleeping bag accommodation or an additional night being charged. Please discuss with reception if you require other hours for check in or check out.
Guests that expect to arrive at KHR after 21:00 hrs. are requested to notify the reservation of the estimated time of arrival, either by calling our reception at 571 3821 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Infants at the age of 0-2 years stay free of charge in all accommodation types. Children at the age of 3-12 years enjoy 50% discount off accommodation. Infants and children must always be supervised and accompanied by an adult while staying at KHR. Guests are expected to comply with all rules, regulations and instructions provided by KHR or its staff may give at any time.
Please note that KHR assumes no responsibility for the possessions of guests stored at the KHR. All items left by guests at the KHR and unless claimed, it will be for a period of three months and be disposed thereafter.
Please check weather conditions and travelling information before you start your journey and note that there is no convenience shop or gas station in Kerlingarfjöll. The Kjölur road (no: 35) and the Kerlingarfjöll road (No: F347) are usually open and passable for all types of vehicles during the summer months. Further details on www.road.is.
If any dispute arises in connection with your stay at Kerlingarfjöll or in relation to our services, it will be governed by Icelandic law under the jurisdiction of Icelandic courts (Court domicile to be the District Court for south Iceland situated at Selfoss).
