The weather in Kerlingarfjoll has been quite good this summer. Mild weather and sunshine or partly cloudy skies most of the time.

The Kjolur road (F39) is as good as it gets. It is accessible by most/all cars to Kerlingarfjoll and all rivers are bridged.
